"I lost one of my best sons. It's strange how grief makes reality seem so unreal. It feels like time has stopped. I'm alone and I don't know what to do with my grief so I'll pour it out here. I don't want to be around anyone anyway." Shadi Attia's mother said.

They were defiant militants,,, who protected their ideology and fortified borderline city, they watched over and tired, they sacrificed their time, money and lifetime; in order to liberate the occupied Palestine.

He was Shadi Fayez Mohammed Attia, who was born in the twenty-fifth of December in 1975 in Al-Daraj neighborhood in Gaza City.

Attia grew up among his family and relatives, and all wished to love him, and he loves all, too, he was very calm, sincere and well-mannered.

Concerning his relationship with his parents, "It was a very distinctive relationship, he was greater than all his brothers, whereas, he was very merciful, compassionate, warmhearted and kindly." Fayez Attia, the martyr's father, said.

He helped his father in many of his works and helped his mother in house-works, he was closer to the hearts of his parents.

Not only he had strong family relationship with his parents, but also extended with his wife, brothers and sisters, that were treated with all love and kindness, and he helped them.

Mohammed Attia, brother of the martyr, said plaintively: "I've lost my dearest brothers, who was a compassionate brother and had a strong relationship with all, actually I am very sad to leave him, but we will meet in Paradise In sha'a Allah."

On Saturday, 27/12/2008 at 11:30 am, the Israeli occupation forces launched a brutal war on the Gaza Strip lasted for 23 days. It was started by air strike against all security headquarters belonging to the Palestinian government in the Gaza Strip.

On that day, "Security and Protection Service" was bombed by the Israeli aircrafts "F16", which launched treacherous strikes to destroy those security headquarters completely, everyone and everything were damaged.

During this Israeli savage bombardment, Shadi Fayez Mohammed Attia - may Allah have mercy on him – was killed in the twenty-seventh of December 2008, which was the first day of Gaza war.

Greetings to all martyrs, our great people who always sacrifice and to our prisoners, who will released soon, in spite of the Israeli occupation.
