According to the prisoners Center for Studies ," that the prisoner Ahmed Hamid Al-Najjar (34 years), from the town of Silwad near Ramallah, has lost the ability to speak after an operation to remove the vocal cords due to cancer in his throat.
The Center said that the letter he received from one of the deans of prisoners, showed that Al-Najjar captive underwent ten days of the operation , then transferred to Ramle prison hospital "Meraj" , which careless known by the medical staff working in it.
The same sources pointed out that the captive Al-Najjar - who holds American citizenship – deals with his prisoners friends by writing on paper , that he had lost his sound completely.
Also, the center warned against the policy medical neglects that may kill the prisoners if the case remained on what it is.
On the other hand, Mr. Raafat Hamdouna , the director of the Center prisoners , has stressed that there is duplication in the Western countries deal with the holders of foreign nationality, adding that France had espoused the cause of Shalit , due to his holding a French nationality , while America ignoring the case of Palestinian prisoners who hold American nationality .
Hamdouna appealed to international and legal institutions, human rights organizations , Ministry of Health and the Palestinian ministry of prisoners and the media to expose abuses of the occupying power against the patients prisoners.
