Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs and head of Al-Quds Committee Dr. Taleb Abu Sha'ar has warned of Judaizing policies which aimed at combating Jerusalem and its Islamic holy sites, pointing out that there are confirmed news about the Isreali occupation intends to lower the call to prayer in the holy city.
Abu Sha'ar showed in a press statement, that both the Israeli consultant of Arab Affairs in Jerusalem "Captain George" and the commander of Al-Quds Brigade General "Aharon Franco," have imposed recently new procedures to lower the voice of calls to prayer; in order to satisfy the Israelis who live in "Pisgat Ze'ev" settlement.
Minister of Awqaf condemned the false allegations, which said that the call to prayer disturbed the residents in the region, pointing out that the Israeli government wants to take control all religious and Islamic affairs.
Abu Sha'ar considered that this unjust action against the holy sites and religious beliefs as illegal intervention which is incompatible with all divine and Islamic laws.
