Statement issued by Palestinian government
Commenting on the statements of Egyptian Interior Minister about the bombing of Saints Church in Alexandria, we affirm on the following:
First: We have condemned the criminal incident, which occurred in the church of saints, and we said that it was contrary to Islam, regardless the party that is responsible for that explosion.
Second: Our relationship with Egypt will remain strong and the Egyptian and Arab national security will be one of our priority in the Palestinian government, and we emphasize on good relations with Christians, either Arabs or Palestinians.
Third: The Palestinian government asked, the parties that relate to brothers in Egypt, to contact them to materialize the reality of what was published, and we are ready to cooperate in uncovering the facts.
Fourth: We confirm that the Gaza Strip is free of Al Qaeda and all Palestinian factions were fighting the Israeli enemy only; in order to end the occupation and liberate the Palestinian people.
