In 2010: Ministry of Interior licenses for "94" assemblies

Gaza – Interior Ministry  
 
Mr. Tharwat Al-Baik, General Director of Public Affairs at Ministry of Interior, said: "The General Administration of Public Affairs is working to license and follow up the work of (884) society in the Gaza Strip, and the number of associations that have been registered during the year 2010 amounted to (94) society."

 

Al-Baikshowed that (27) branches of foreign assemblies that work in the Gaza Strip have been licensed, stressing that licenses were being granted to all assemblies that serve our people in the Gaza Strip.
 
On the other hand, Al-Baik
said: "We gave citizens more than (27, 300) certificate of good conduct and behavior during the year 2010 in the central administration and in the governorates of the Gaza Strip."

 

He emphasized that we does not prevent the extraction of certificates on political basis as it happens in the West Bank, noting that all Interior Ministry's directorates in the Gaza Strip's governorates have been granted powers to issue a certificate of good conduct and behavior; to save time, effort and money.
 
Al-Baik
wished 2011 to be a year of construction, adding: "The overall objective of our departments for this year is to provide the best service and as soon as possible to serve all."

 

Moreover, Mr. Kamel Abu Madi, Assistant Undersecretary of Ministry of Interior, said: "the time of random to license associations has gone forever, and we are working in accordance with detailed plans to guide the community for its need of institutions, associations and services by a statistical and digital electronic computerized way."
 
Abu Madi praised the achievements which made by the Department of associations within a short period in the planning, development and coordination, and preparation of detailed studies for associations' aims, and financial control.
