The security meeting
chaired by Palestinian Prime Minister confirms on consolidating the dialogue
with the Palestinian factions to strengthen the national consensus; in order to
avoid the Gaza Strip Israeli aggression and protect our people and their courageous
resistance
Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh met today afternoon with Interior Minister
and heads of security agencies in the presence of a number of ministers and consultants,
whereas, the participants praised the steadfastness of the Palestinian people
and their great achievements, especially in the second anniversary of Israeli
aggression on Gaza.
Haniyeh told chiefs of security services and members of Interior
Ministry the latest political and field developments including the letter that was
sent from Egyptian officials in about the aggressive intentions of the Israeli
occupation, appreciating the efforts that undertaken by Interior Ministry to
maintain security in the Gaza Strip.
The Palestinian Prime Minister issued plain instructions to chiefs of security
services to preserve the national consensus between the various factions regarding
the field situation in the Gaza Strip. Also, Haniyeh praised the national
awareness that shown by all political components for the Palestinian people, so
that they can preserve the capabilities of Palestinian people.
Haniyeh and the ministers listened to a detailed report said by Minister
of Interior and heads of security agencies about the field security in the Gaza
Strip.
Moreover, the Palestinian Prime Minister and participants refuted the pretexts
that are declared by the Israeli occupation, justified the escalation against
Gaza, and he demanded the international community to put an end to the Israeli crimes
and its aggression against the Palestinian people and besieging them in Gaza.
Haniyeh confirmed that the chiefs of security services that their
role is protecting the Palestinian front and developing the procedures; in
order to promote unity and steadfastness and understanding of Palestinian
people, calling for cooperating with all components of the Palestinian arena
and intensifying contacts with Egyptians to curb any aggression on our people
and enhance their steadfastness.
The participants extended greetings to all our people, martyrs, prisoners
and wounded and in particular the martyrs of Interior Ministry, headed by Minister
of Interior Said Siyam.
