Minister of Interior and National Security Mr. Fathi Hammad said: "The goal of war which was launched by Israeli occupation on the Gaza Strip two years ago was to get rid of the progress that made by the Palestinian people to liberate their land and establish a rule seeks to liberate all Palestine to be a beacon for Arab and Islamic nation."
Mr. Hammad considered, in an exclusive interview with "Interior Ministry" on the second anniversary of Gaza war, that the Ministry of Interior is the most important of all ministries in the Palestinian government led by Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh, indicating that it is taking control the internal situation from all fields of life and provide protection for resistance and maintain the steadfastness of our people and their principles and basic elements.
He explained that Ministry of Interior was the first target in the Israeli overt or covert information bank to target during the war, referring to the attempts of Israeli entity to destroy the ministry before the recent war in Gaza.
Hammad added: "The Israeli occupation bombed many headquarters and of Interior Ministry and assassinated many officers and policemen personnel who have maintained the development of Palestinian people and their struggle and steadfastness and they have liberated the Gaza Strip."
After two years of Gaza war, Hammad showed that the year 2011 would be the most powerful and professional.
He stressed the ministry plans to strengthen the brotherly relationship and affection with our Palestinian people, praising the steadfastness of Palestinians during Al Furqan War. Mr. Hammad added: "Our people proved that they are best because they liberated the land from the Israeli occupation ".
Hammad added: "The Israeli enemy tried to control and besiege us over 4 years, but they did not succeed, and everyone now is talking about new systems, development and civilization in the Gaza Strip despite a lack of resources and siege, and will remain continuous."
