It is impermissible to keep any Palestinian journalist in the prisons of Israeli occupation and Authority of Fatah.
Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh has denied the existence of any detained Palestinian journalist because of a professional or political work in the Gaza Strip.
Haniyeh said during a ceremony honoring Palestinian journalists and media professionals who have international awards and the martyrs' families on the second anniversary of Al Furqan war on Thursday afternoon (30/12): "We salute the role of Palestinian media against the Israeli enemy."
He added: "What can be said on the last point in the land can be arrive to Gaza and Palestine, and vice versa," praising the tasks of Palestinian media in the Gaza Strip.
Haniyeh stressed the need to win in the psychological war, pointing out that the Israeli media is based on the psychological blows to the population of Gaza Strip.
The Prime Minister asked not to be deceived and fall under the psychological warfare and demanded to release all journalists who detained in the Israeli jails or prisons of Fatah Authority in Ramallah.
He explained that the Palestinian Media has a clear responsibility to respond on the Israeli media.
And Haniyeh said: "I will not go down in front of the psychological war which launched by the Israeli occupation against our people."
The Prime Minister has praised the Palestinian journalists who have international awards despite the Israeli siege imposed on the Gaza Strip, appreciating the rival between Gaza journalists with senior international journalists and access to international awards.
He confirmed that the Israeli siege can not besiege creativity, will and the ability to compete with others, adding: " the blockade may weaken the possibilities of reconstruction and it can't besiege the Palestinian ability and capacity."
