Gaza - Ministry of Interior
Minister of Interior and National Security Mr. Fathi Hammad confirmed that the Ministry of Interior has re-built and reconstructed nearly 50% of security headquarters which were destroyed by the Israeli occupation forces during the aggressive war that was launched by the end of 2008 and early 2009.
Mr. Hammad pointed out in an interview that the Interior Ministry has repaired the damages that occurred during the war; first: employing many persons instead of martyrs who were killed during the war, second: rebuilding the security headquarters which were destroyed by the Israeli occupation.
He pointed out that the Ministry of Interior ended the phenomenon of security lawlessness that prevailed in the era of Fatah Authority, as well as it ended security breaches.
Also, Hammad revealed that the Ministry of Interior will implement death penalty against spies because of their actual involvement with the Israeli occupation forces in killing and targeting Palestinian citizens, and he hinted that the Palestinian people support their ministry in applying these provisions by more than 90 %, as shown by opinion polls.
He confirmed that these executions considered as an important and strong deterrent for who try to collaborate with the Israeli occupation and betrayed his people.
Moreover, Minister of Interior showed that there are Fatah members provided information to the Israeli occupation about the resistance and their whereabouts, and he glance furtively at arresting a number of those who collaborated with the occupation.
