Human Rights Watch organization urged the US in a report published on its website on Sunday to reduce its financial assistance to Israel, which allocates some of it for settlement expansion in occupied Palestinian land.

The organization's 166-page report titled "Separate and Unequal - Israel's Discriminatory Treatment of Palestinians in the Occupied Palestinian Territories", described such an Israeli policy as "harsh" and deprives Palestinians of their basic needs.

Israel has built more than 130 settlements in the occupied West Bank since its occupation in 1967 with a current population of 300,000 settlers.
