A delegation from the leadership of Palestinian police, headed by Brigadier-General Abu Obeida Al-Jarrah and a number of directors and officers in police departments, visited Palestinian Federation of Football.
The police delegation was received by Ibrahim Abu Salim, vice-head of the Palestinian Federation of Football, Mr. Abd Al Salam Haniya, representative of Ministry of Youth and Sports and a number of members of union.
At the beginning of the meeting, Ibrahim Abu Salim welcomed the delegation of police and thanked them for accepting the invitation, especially with the announcement of Palestinian league next Friday with the participation of more than 26 teams from the Gaza Strip.
Abu Salim confirmed that the Palestinian police will play an important role in the success of this league through their permanent presence in the stadiums to protect players and stadiums of any riots.
Brigadier-General Abu Obeida Al-Jarrah said that he was glad with the invitation of the Palestinian Federation of Football to the police leadership and stressed that this visit was made to intensify cooperation among themselves.
Abu Obeida pointed out that the leadership of police will provide all necessary means to success of the General League Championship, which was parked more than three years, and he noted that the police will do their best to protect stadiums and punish anyone who tries to stir up trouble during the games through General League.
