Aid convoy from Arab Parliament to reach Gaza soon

Arab Parliament announced that aid convoy will be sent to the Gaza Strip, which is going to launch from the Algerian capital on Sunday 31/10/2010.


The parliament said in a press statement, that the goal of sending an aidconvoy is to support the besieged Gaza Strip's people, showing that it includes 70 trucks loaded with stationery for Gaza students, medical equipment and foodstuffs.

 

The statement pointed out that the committee of Arab Parliament is doing its best to send the convoy of Arab Maghreb, which launches from Tunisia through Algeria and Libya to reach Gaza via Rafah crossing.


Abd Al-kader Samawi, chairman of Committee, said that this aid has being sent to implement the decision of Arab Parliament regarding sending aid convoys to the besieged Palestinians in the Gaza Strip; to break the siege imposed there.
