Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh has welcomed remarks of Secretary-General of Organization of Islamic Conference Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu regarding ending the Israeli siege on the Gaza Strip.
Oglu has called for resorting to international law to put an end to the human tragedy which caused by the Israeli blockade on the Gaza Strip.
Ihsanoglu said on Sunday in front of a group of legal experts who charged with examining ways and means to lift the siege on Gaza: "The deal with the file of blockade requires working on multiple tracks, including political, humanitarian and legal."
He also called experts for developing practical proposals on ways to end the blockade, pointing out to the organization's efforts to end it.
Oglu confirmed that siege not only violates the international law, but also disagrees the basic ethical concepts of humanity.
He showed that the most prominent resolutions was the resolution of November 2006 to break the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip since years and take real actions to bring the Israeli war criminals to justice.
