Number of Palestinian police officers, have participated on Tuesday 26/10/2010 in the course , entitled "International humanitarian law and human rights and Geneva Convention" organized by the International Committee of the Red Cross in the Gaza Strip by 18 hours of training over three days.
At the opening ceremony of the session , Brigadier Tayseer Al-Batsh , deputy police chief, indicated on the role played by the International Committee of the Red Cross to hold such sessions , and he thanked all services which provided for people in peace and war.
Al-Bash called all officers to involve in the session to the need for attention, commitment and interaction until it is utilized in the field of police work, in order to convey a positive image of the police and its keen interest in the protection of human rights.
Meanwhile , Mathilde Redmatn , Deputy Director of the Red Cross in the Gaza Strip , welcomed the role of the officers participating in the session, and stressed that such courses reflect the good relationship between the Ministry of Interior and the Red Cross and the Palestinian police in Gaza.
Redmatn pointed out , that the aim of these courses to obtain satisfaction and acceptance by the public because this courses helps to do the work of the Red Cross better, as the role of Red Cross dissemination of international humanitarian law but the implementation of this law depends on the men of law
